MILPA Fellowship
The Mobilizing Indigenous Leadership for Policy Arts, & Sovereignty (MILPAS) Fellowship is intended for individuals who are wanting to develop a one-time project, such as podcast series, short film, art exhibit, that uplifts the voices of our indgenous migrant communities across the diaspora.
OYE’s Indigenous Youth Conference
Our annual Indigenous Youth Conference is still in the planning stages at the moment. We will publish the save-the-date and once registration opens. You can follow us on our social media to keep up to date of our events.
RAICES Project
The Regional Autonomous Indigenous-Centeted Educational Spaces (RAICES) Project is a continuation of our previous 2023 & 2024 program, Regional Youth Group Project, developed to further reach pre-existing autonomous indigenous groups/spaces in the diaspora.
The first OYE conference
The planning of the Encuentro started in 2013 and after months of planning. The Encuentro was held in Santa Maria, California on April 12, 2014. The Encuentro was held in Santa Maria due to its central location for everyone to travel. The Encuentro was a one-day event which eventually turn to a 3-day event for the following year.
